More info

GÓRBET REFRACTORIES with its seat in Trzebinia produces refractory ceramics, including in particular monolithic materials and prefabricated products for use in the heavy industry and in the fireplace industry.

GÓRBET has been operating in its present form since 2013, based solely on Polish capital, continuing the tradition of ZAKŁAD SUROWCÓW OGNIOTRWAŁYCH “GÓRKA” S.A. operating since 1912, operating as ZAKŁADY MATERIAŁÓW OGNIOTRWAŁYCH “GÓRBET” Sp. z o. o.

After the lean years of restructuring and ownership transformations, GÓRBET invests again, also by employing experienced technologists, which allows not only to improve, but also to develop the company’s offer. The plant has continuously modernized production lines for the production of loose monolithic masses, dried-out prefabricates and chemically bonded products.

However, the greatest value of GÓRBET are the company’s employees and their know-how. Their specialist knowledge and experience, along with above-standard personal commitment to improving the quality of products and services provided, are what distinguishes the company from other companies operating on the market.

KRZYSZTOF WIELANOWSKI, educated at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, had a huge impact on the current level of technological advancement of GÓRBET and the creation of an exceptionally wide range of products (from products for the fireplace industry, through coking plants, cement plants, energy and refineries,

and ending with steel mills), and for years co-creating SKAWIŃSKIE ZAKŁADY MATERIAŁÓW OGNIOTRWAŁYCH SA (currently VESUVIUS POLAND Sp. z o. o.) In the years 2001 – 2012, the chief technologist and president of ZMO GÓRBET Sp. z o. o., co-author of 30 patents and utility models in the field of materials and refractory binders and countless implementations, some of which have been awarded, among others a certificate of innovation by the INSTITUTE OF ECONOMIC SCIENCES OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES, a silver medal at the construction fair “LUBDOM 2007”, or an exhibition at the most prestigious fairs of the fireplace industry ISH MESSE FRANKFURT in 2015 – 2017.

MONOLITHIC DEPARTMENT

OFFER - MONOLITHIC DEPARTMENT

GÓRBET offers a wide range of refractory monolithics that differ in purpose and method of application.

INSULATION LAYER
– Castables
– Gunmixes

WORKING LAYER
– Traditional castables (medium cement content) as well as low-cement and ultra-low-cement monolithics
– No-cement monolithics on chemical bond
– No-cement monolithics bonded with colloidal silica
– Plastic masses
– Prefabricated elements dried to 350°C

Products available for differential application method:
– For casting (pumping / vibrating / self-flowing)
– For spraying: gunning or shotcreting

We offer monolithics for the working layer with the addition of polypropylene fibers (Wp) as well as metal fibers (Wm).
The addition of polypropylene fibers helps to obtain the optimal pore structure in the mixture, which facilitates water release. The addition of metal fibers improves the mechanical properties of concrete, including resistance to thermal shocks, abrasion resistance and impact strength.

PRECASTS OFFER

DEPARTMENT - PRECASTS OFFER

Our experience, as well as our customers’ experience, shows that the lining made of prefabricated elements is distinguished by a much longer service life compared to the lining made ‘in-situ’. This is because the bonding mechanism, which is responsible for the physical properties of concrete, e.g. strength, regardless of whether it is based on cement hydration or sol-gel bonding, is sensitive to a number of factors such as: temperature, quality and quantity of mixing water prevailing during installation, or the possibility of proper drying and heating.

Therefore, the lining made of prefabricated elements, the production of which is subject to appropriate technological standards (the quantity and quality of mixing water, conditions for the curing, the process of hardening and releasing the mixing and crystallization water)

definitely exceeds the service life of the lining made in a traditional way, offering benefits in the form of reducing or eliminating unplanned shutdowns and minimizing the costs associated with the performance of planned repairs.

In order to ensure the required quality, the production of prefabricated elements in our plant is subject to an appropriate technological regime. We use, among from others, steel molds that enable the maintenance of dimensional tolerances required by our customers, as well as a climatic chamber that allows obtaining optimal physical properties of the elements.

Drying of prefabricated elements is normally carried out in chamber furnaces up to the temperature of 350C, which allows for the release of mixing and chemically bound water under controlled conditions. If required by the technological process, it is possible to carry out the drying process to the temperature of 600°C, and even full heating to the temperature above 1000°C.
